Privacy

We collect as little about you as we can, and we never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Gallery of the Ages · ABN 53 565 881 545 · 3 Lurnea Avenue, Bawley Point NSW 2539, Australia. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@galleryoftheages.com.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give one, what you bought, and payment confirmation. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.

When you email us: your email address and whatever you send, such as photos of a damaged print.

When you browse: the pages you visit, the prints you view and add to your cart, your approximate location (country or region, from your IP address), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. Your cart itself is saved in your own browser.

Why we use it

To make, ship and support your order; to answer your emails; to prevent fraud; to keep the site working and fix errors; to understand which pages and prints people find useful so we can improve the shop; and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who processes it for us

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the shop:

  • Payments: Stripe processes payments and payment confirmations.
  • Printing and delivery: our print partner in the United States and the carriers it uses, who receive your name, shipping address and order details.
  • Hosting and security: Vercel, which hosts the site, and Cloudflare, which serves our images, and Supabase, which stores order records.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog, which tell us how the site is used.
  • Error monitoring: Sentry, which records technical details when something breaks.
  • Email: Resend delivers transactional order emails. Google Workspace handles our support inbox.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers or the business from fraud. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use your browser’s storage to keep your cart and remember your privacy choice, and an essential cookie to let this browser view its order confirmation securely. Google Analytics and PostHog set their own cookies to count visits and see which pages work. They load only after the page has finished loading, and we don’t use advertising cookies or pixels today.

You can turn analytics off for this browser here:

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as an opt-out: Google Analytics and PostHog don’t load, and we treat it as a request not to sell or share your personal information.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to get a copy of it, by emailing hello@galleryoftheages.com. We’ll respond within 30 days, and won’t treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we keep order records the law requires us to keep. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, these rights include the rights that law gives you, and you can use an authorised agent.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to seven years. Support emails are kept for up to two years after the last message. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Children

The shop isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

International transfers

We’re based in Australia, and our print partner and most of our service providers are in the United States. Your information may be processed in both countries, and we only use providers that protect it to the standard this policy describes.

Security

The whole site uses HTTPS, payments are handled by our payment processor, and only the people and providers who need your information to fulfil your order can access it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. Questions or requests: hello@galleryoftheages.com.
